World Cup Inspired Research

In honor of the World Cup, SportMap have adapted their proprietary methodology developed for agricultural purposes to characterizing volumetric water content in the upper 0.5 meters of one of our local soccer fields. Among other things, volumetric water content serves as a great proxy indicator for compaction. You can easily see where the foot traffic is concentrated relative to the goals in the below data example. Dual frequency (800/300 MHz) GPR data aquisiton along with processing and interpretation took less than a day for this result. Much higher spatial resolution is easily acheivable.
